Big Exciting Changes For The Englund Family...Read All About It!!!

The Englund family is beside ourselves with excitement. Our prayer for the past few years has been to find a family to operate The Meeting Place Cafe full time. Our prayers have been answered.
By having someone to operate the cafe, we can now operate, full time, our other missional business,  MotoMission Peru. As many of you may already know, MotoMission has been in operation for a couple of years now. We operate a high end dirt bike tour company from our home in Cusco where all the profits go to fund local social projects in the area.
On the 28th of February, we have an awesome family that will be taking over the cafe and will continue the operation indefinitely into the future.  They will keep supporting the Altivas Canas Project as the cafe has done in the past, which was our hope and prayer all along. We will help out in the transition, but will eventually step back from the day to day operations of the cafe.
Our goal for MotoMission has always been to fund an endowment that will provide for the future monetary needs of the Altivas Canas project. As the cafe will continue to provide for the monthly needs of the project, MotoMission will be able to begin funding the endowment. Once the endowment is finished, the cafe will stop funding the project and the interest income from the endowment will provide the monthly need for the project indefinitely into the future. At that point, the cafe can tackle another project and MotoMission will be a completed mission.
The design has been laid out all along. Now, it's GO TIME!
Our lives will look like this...I will be spending the next few months ramping up the MotoMission business with tons of promotion and marketing to generate a full load of tours. Teri will be focused on homeschooling our kids(I should now be able to help a bit). In addition, she will be doing all the accounting for the MotoMission business. When I am on tours, she will be able to track our progress and be available for assistance and emergencies...She has been known to save the day quite a few times.
As for our kids, Kayle and Emma are excited to get back into home school. Kayle is now 15 and we need to make sure she is prepped for college. Emma will do well in the home school environment as it gives her a bit more flexibility to foster her gifts and talents in a healthy way. We are all excited about rebalancing our family and ministry. It's been a great experience, but we are ready to move onto the next season.
So there you have it. Please keep us in prayer for this transition. We have poured our hearts into the cafe, and letting someone else take the reins is a tough decision. We know that if God is directing the change, all will be to His glory.
Thank you to those that have been taking this journey with us up to this point. We cannot tell you how thankful we are for the privilege to serve here in Peru. Our family could not survive without having you on the team. We pray for your faithful support.
For those that are interested in partnering with us financially, know that we are so thankful to be able to do the work to which we have been called to do. We are only able to be here through the support of people that believe in our family and mission. If you would like to partner with us and our work in Peru, you can make a tax deductable donation through Commission to Every Nation(CTEN) at www.cten.org/scottenglund.

With our eyes on the trail ahead,
The Englund Family in Peru
