What's Happening in Peru...

So there have been a lot of things that have happened since the past report. I thought I would highlight a few of those things and update on some others.

The Saga of Jason

First of all, I want to thank you all for your prayers. This little guy is doing great. He is back to 95% and is playing soccer and going to school just like any other little boy. He is full of joy and excitement. As for his family, they are a bit on the timid side with Jason going out and playing because of the fear that he may relapse. This little boy wants to live. Being cooped up in the house ain’t gonna cut if for Jason. God made him for a specific purpose. He kept Jason here for a reason. Please keep Jason in your prayers that he will discover God’s reason for keeping him around.

MotoMission

Just a few days ago, I returned from our first MotoMission tour. It was a 5 day tour from Cusco to Arequipa. It was an incredible ride full of adventure, funny stories, snow, mud, problems/challenges, and great company. If you would like to read about it, LIKE our Facebook page MotoMission and check it out. Please continue to pray for the success of the mission. We are still looking for financial partners to help cover the cost of the start up. We have started, but we have only started with about half of the needed equipment. Please pray about how you can involve yourself with supporting this amazing mission.

The Englund Family

We have recently moved to another house. We needed to have space for the moto business, and also to find a place close to the school into which we have enrolled our kids. We love our new place; it even has a yard…The simple things that give us joy. We are all settled in and are really happy with our new neighborhood. The kids are enjoying school. Kayle is playing volleyball for the school. Emma is doing basketball. Teri loves the freedom to help out with other ministry things as she is not homeschooling anymore. What a blessing that has been. We are so honored to be here and doing the work we are doing. We know that God is in the middle of our lives. What a fun and exciting way to live…

The Meeting Place Church Ministry

We have had some great results with our outreach ministry. We have recently changed our focus to use a discussion type of attraction to bring people in from the café and other social modes. To date, we have had 8 or 9 weeks of discussions where have been taking a look at spiritual disciplines. We come at the topic with both a secular and a biblical perspective. We have people from every imaginable spiritual standpoint. Our discussions are quite interesting. We bring the discussion around in the end by putting the Christian perspective and reasons for the discipline. We then invite those that would like to join us for a time of worship. So far, our program is well received. Please continue to pray for the success of this outreach. Our goal is to expose people to the cause of Christ in a non-traditional and comfortable setting.

Prayer Items

Monthly Support-We constantly have to keep up on our family living needs. With the kids back in school and more transportation needs, it is nice to be able to focus on our ministry and not so much on the pressures of finances.

School for the kids-The new environment can be stressful. Pray for a smooth transition back to a structured school life.

MotoMission-please pray for continued connections with people and prospective clients and donors. Financially, we still need to purchase one more motorcycle and a support vehicle. Praise that God provided our first two customers before even really getting our advertising out there.

The Meeting Place-pray that business will be strong during the busy season so we can catch up from the slow off season months. Also, for our outreach that we can continue to reach people with an inviting and sound biblical message.

Thanks for following with us on our mission adventure. We appreciate your prayer and support.
